The Inn

A fabulous example of a good ole British Inn sat alongside a river where horses would have pulled barges to trade their wares. Privately owned by a fanatical horseman, we designed a concept to incorporate two significant pastimes, hunting and polo.

A private dining space became The Hunt with a powerful privately commissioned hunt scene painting to set the context, overlayed with the thought provoking quote from Winston Churchill:

“There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man”.

Polo accents scattered across the open terrace spaces, culminating in cubby hole library for a nightcap tipple. We wanted to create the sense of coming together around the piano in the bar so through art we created an appropriately dressed hound and fox band, giving a intimate but relaxed space for piano and pint.
